Liver:
The liver is the body's factory, warehouse and waste disposal plant. - Creates bile, essential to the digestion and absorption of fat
- Primary player in body's immune system
- Metabolizes fats, proteins and carbohydrates
- Manufactures blood proteins, required for maintaining water balance and contributing to blood viscosity
- Filters the blood to remove chemicals and bacteria
- Helps maintain electrolyte and water balance
- Breaks down and eliminates hormones
- Stores vitamins, minerals and sugars
It can break down debris, bacteria and chemical toxins through other complex processes. But a liver that is overloaded with toxins may not be able to keep up with the demand for its services. When this is the case, it must continue to store toxins, even if storage of those toxins over a long period of time might result in liver damage.
Bowels:
A healthy bowel breaks down proteins into amino acids, carbohydrates into sugars, fats into fatty acids, manufactures vitamins (B12, biotin, vitamin K), degrade toxins, prevent colonization by pathogens, crowd out other less beneficial species, stimulate the immune system and produce short chain fatty acids (SCFAs) from fiber, which are the primary energy source for the cells lining the colon. The bowels also play several critical roles in immune function. After manufacture in the bone marrow, immune cells migrate and mature in colonies often accumulating in the walls of the bowels.
Blood:
The blood is a liquid organ which transfers and transports substances throughout the body. It is what delivers the needed nutrition to those areas in need, and transports waste away.
Kidneys:
One of the body's primary excretory mechanisms, they filter the blood and remove toxins that have been made water-soluble by complex enzymatic processes (bile) that take place in the liver. The kidneys also remove ammonia that results during the breakdown of the amino acids used in many bodily processes.
Another job the kidneys perform is in helping to balance the body's internal environment by removing excess water, gases, salts and other organic materials, while conserving the substances the body requires for its normal functioning.
Lungs:
Exercise is the best way to keep your lungs working.
The SWISS RESISTANCE EXERCISE BAND is a great way to begin your exercise in the comfort of your home. No need to go to the gym, or even in the car. Comes complete with step-by-step instructions.
Skin:
The 10-Day Detox comes with step-by-step instructions for Circulation Enhancing Water Therapy (CEWaT).
This simple yet effective therapy uses changing water temperature to improve circulation and help the skin breathe.
Lymphatic System:
Lymph cells collect the waste products generated by the cells of the body and turns them over to the blood. Lymph can also carry away proteins and large particulate matter, which can't be removed by absorption in to the blood capillaries. The blood then carries the toxins generated by the cell metabolism to the lungs, kidneys, colon, and skin for elimination.
