Congratulations on your choice to use DbSmartSite to host your web site! Included in your hosting service is our DbSmartConfig site builder and content management software. This is an online tool, there is nothing for you to download! All you need is a browser and an Internet connection.

Note: We recommend you use Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 5.5 or higher. You can use other browsers, but will not be able to make use of our WYSIWYG editor to edit your rich text.

Without writing a single line of code you can create a site with that includes:

• Date Sensitive Content (text and images that display one day and disappear the next!)
• Monthly Event Calendars that scroll forward and backward
• Search box to search all pages on your site.
• Forms to enable visitors to provide feedback (via email)
• Private pages only available to visitors with a valid user name and password
• and much, much more

Perhaps the most powerful feature of our DbSmartConfig site builder is the ability to create reusable page parts (components), assemble the components onto one or more templates and create pages based on the templates! Changes to the underlying components and/or templates are automatically reflected on every page that uses them. Don't worry if this is confusing right now, we will explain how it works to you later.

To make the best use out of our service, we highly recommend you take the time to read the help provided. Even if you have constructed web sites before, you should read the help on the following pages. It will provide the foundation you need to make use of all of the functionality you have available to you.
