The structure of a page, a template, and a component is the same: sections contain columns that contain items.

All pages, templates, and components are made up of one or more sections.

• You must have at least one section but you may have more. Each section can have a different number of columns.
• If you have more than one section, you can easily move them up and down.
• There are two types of sections: standard and component. A standard section contains columns and items. A component section is a placeholder for a component. Our headers and footers are implemented this way as you will see.
• There are several properties (or attributes) you can specify for a section. The most common are: width, horizontal alignment, padding, spacing, and the style (background color, fonts, borders, etc.)

Sections are made up of columns.

• A column is simply a container for items (i.e. images, text, etc).
• A column can have any number of items but it must have at least one item.
• If a section has more than one column, you can easily move the columns left and right.
• There are several properties you can specify for a column. The most common are: height, width, style, horizontal and vertical alignment.

Columns are made up of items. Items are the actual "things" the visitor sees on the page. An item can be an image, some text, a form, a calendar, a heading, a button, etc.

• There is no limit to the number of items you can have in a column.
• If a column has more than one item, you can easily move them up and down within the column or left and right between columns.
• Each item type (image, text, text and image, calendar, search box, etc.) has its own set of properties you can set to customize the look and feel.
